Motivational Article – You’re Almost There!
50 days left till New Year as I’m writing this. Only 50 days… Can you believe it?😱
This year flew very fast for me. Maybe because it’s been one of my best so far. How has it been for you?
During 2018, I’ve written some articles meant to keep people on the right, productive track. I’m not a motivational speaker for sure, but I genuinely sympathize with dreamers & doers. I know that deciding on goals at the beginning of the year is relatively easy compared to the hard work that should be done in order to make dreams happen. No matter the progress you’ve made so far, congratulations!✨ A step forward is a step forward. It doesn’t matter how small that is. 😌
As I said, we are getting close to the end of the year, and I want to ask you one little favor: Don’t postpone your dream to next year. How promising the phrase “I’ll do it later” or “I’ll start on Monday” or “I’ll do better next year” seems to be😑, but it’s a mind trick. Why ignoring all the endless possibilities of the moment you have RIGHT NOW?
You can’t be sure of tomorrow’s future, but you do have this very moment. Spend it wisely.
It does not have to be something huge. No one writes a book in a day. But maybe today you’ll finally figure out why your main character is always so moody. You’ll discover the secrets he/she been hiding from you all this time. That could be the linking part that puts you back on track. 🙌
Perhaps you haven’t lost the amount of weight you planned to, but maybe you’ve been eating healthier. Kudos to you!😊 Make the right choice today again. And again. You’ll start feeling the difference shortly.
It’s possible that you’re still not sure of your purpose. But this year you’ve seen your idol. It was the best concert you’ve ever attended. You sang along and you realized you’d love to be on stage one day. THAT day is made possible through sacrifices and dedication. What’s stopping you from following that glimpse of happiness?
I won’t develop this idea because I’ve talked about it in a previous article. But one of the reasons people slowly give up on their goals is that they don’t see immediate results. We want our dreams to happen and we want that now. Well, that’s not really how it works. 😅
What’s truly helpful to me is playing the long run game. I believe it starts with a passion and it’s made possible through episodes of sacrifices, lessons learned and the ability to adapt or start over. Following your own path is scary, but SO rewarding.
Here’s a quotes that inspired me to write today’s article. According to Nikita Gill, the saddest word in the world is “almost”.
“He almost lived.
They almost made it.”
— Nikita Gill, Your Soul Is A River
According to me – a productive dreamer – it doesn’t have to be. You’re ALMOST there. So don’t be the person who almost made it.
