High School Drama: Five things I wish I had known
Look, high school was… confusing. 😐 And awkward, if you ask me. 😂 I really hope you think differently and you actually enjoy this time of your life. 😂 Even so, I’d like to share with you 5 things I wish I had known in high school:
There’s no rush
Finding the right person was a like a marathon. You just HAD to find your soul mate in high school. Otherwise, something was wrong with you, apparently. My only advice for you is: Don’t rush. If you do want someone, don’t settle for less than you deserve. And keep in mind that YOU deserve A LOT. 🤗 Trust your instinct and never do something that doesn’t feel right, just because your partner asks you to.
Find out who you are = Extremely important!
I don’t know about you, but no one has ever taught me the importance of being myself. This is something I discovered on my own. Why is this a BIG thing?🤔 Well, if you know who you are and where you want to get, there’s nothing that could ever stand between you and your dream. Trying to be like someone else is a waste on time. Search your true colors and expose them brightly!✨
You should love yourself
I was so busy trying to love others, that I had no time to love myself. Once you discover who you are, you’ll be able to notice the beauty of all the little things that make you … you. I believe that everyone on planet Earth has something beautiful. 💙 It could be physical, it could be spiritual, it could be a warm smile or the kind words you always address your neighbors. Respect and love yourself!
Looks are not everything
I still like beautiful clothes and accessories. There’s nothing wrong with that. But nowadays, I consider other things to be more valuable. Instead of looking good in front of other people, I am more interested in the emotional impression I leave. I truly want to be perceived and remembered as a good person. You know, maybe you don’t remember what a specific person wore on a certain day, but if that person made your day, you still carry the feeling with you, no matter how long it’s been. 💞
Grades don’t always determine intelligence
Now, I’m not saying you should stop studying. On the contrary, keep doing your best, because up to a point, grades decide your future. My mistake was that every time I received a bad grade, I thought it happened because of my lack of intelligence. 😳 Looking back, I realize that there was nothing wrong with my capability. The problem was that I did not know how to study. I did not study enough, either. My grades became a lot higher in university and I think that was because I learned to study, in my own way.🌟
That’s all from me, but I’d love to hear, what is one thing you wish you had known before?
